There is a chair,
In a dusty, old corner,
Of an ancient, abandoned house.
It is creaky and crooked,
Faded and chipped.
It is sitting, broken,
In an ancient abandoned house.
It has been owned by a child,
Who painted it blue.
It has been used by an old man,
Who sat there all day.
It is now there, forgotten,
In an ancient abandoned house.
It has seen many things,
The four families who have lived there,
The seasons changing.
In the window it's next to,
It has seen all these things,
In that ancient, abandoned house.
