Starting Tuesday, January 27, WMLU's famous Trivia Night will be moving to the Mad Hatter, located at 208 N. South St. behind Macado's. The weekly gatherings have been held for five years, since 2004. According to senior Jordan Maynard, WMLU remotes director, Trivia Night has changed venues from Wing Shak to the Mad Hatter this semester.
A typical Trivia Night starts at 8 p.m. Players pay a dollar each to play. The WMLU DJs read the questions, crack jokes and help keep everybody in a good mood. Maynard said, "Players mess with each other, and generally all around fun is had."
Are there prizes, you ask? That's why everybody pays a dollar. Second place winners get their money back, while the first place winners receive the rest of the collected money. There is also a randomly-selected beer round where the top-scoring team gets free beer if they're over 21 or something of equal value if they're younger.
Trivia Nights are Tuesdays at 8 p.m., and there will be one every week except for school vacations and exam weeks.
If you have questions, contact Gerry Martin, general manager of WMLU, at gerry.martin@live.longwood.edu or Melissa Snook, an WMLU DJ, at melissa.snook@live.longwood.edu.

I believe I may make an appearance. Alone if I can't get anybody to go with me. I'm always surprised at the number of my friends who think trivia night sounds boring. (Continued…)
