Even with offering an array of programs, the Health and Fitness Center is having considerable trouble attracting students to these programs this semester. I hate the cold. But I love sports; especially this time of year. That pretty much sums up the fall season for me as a sports fan. Longwood's field hockey team started their 2009 campaign with a record of 2-5. Before play this past weekend, Head Coach Ian Byers and gang were sitting at 5-7. Last season, Longwood University's Men's Basketball team finished in the top 30 in he nation in scoring and compiled one of their best seasons in the program's history.
