Second Annual Joshua Bolt Day a Success All Around

Longwood's women's soccer team hosted Appalachian State Sunday afternoon for their second annual Joshua Bolt day, a day dedicated to a local boy with cerebral palsy. Last fall, the Longwood Women's Rugby team completed its first undefeated season in recent history, finishing 8-0, including wins over Virginia Tech and Mary Washington University (MWU). In the Virginia Rugby Union playoffs, the women repeated the victory over MWU and climbed to 12th place in the national rankings. (0) comments

The Lancer men's golf team fell short of a victory yesterday at the Manor Intercollegiate at The Manor Resort Golf Club in Farmville. Longwood finished second, shooting 300 as a team on Tuesday to finish 54 holes with a total score of 885. (0) comments

After a big win over visiting Georgetown University to start the season, Head Coach Ian Byers' squad tasted the agony of defeat while at the same time standing on the edge of a 5-0 start. The first loss following the opener at the Athletics Complex came at the hands of Lock Haven. (0) comments

Longwood's Men's Soccer Team had a pair of matches this past weekend in North Carolina, taking on Elon University at a neutral site in Greensboro Friday night, followed by duel with UNC Greensboro on Sunday afternoon. Friday night proved to be an even match for the men against the Phoenix of Elon, a match that needed extra time before ending in a 0-0 tie. (0) comments
